At Christmas, surrounded by my loving spaniels in front of a roaring fire, I decided that I’d spoken out enough. Hopefully, common sense would break out and:
- we’d have a Building Safety Act that put the final responsibility onto owners of high-rise residential;
- LABC would make their training arm (or is it an exec pension fund, I can never remember?) open to all;
- the Government would recognise the lack of professional staff available and help fund graduates;
- The Building Safety Regulator would split BC into certification by the private sector and leave enforcement to the LA;
- The absurdity of councils offering warranties like washing machine guarantees would cease.
So, it looks like I’m back.
Good to have you back
