I’ve had a request from a reader in the form of a Christmas list. Any views?
He writes:
Please can you start a BCO database with no agenda other than informing and co-ordinating views and opinions on our profession.
It’s Christmas so I would also like –
- An apology from LABC to the industry, Councils and AI companies and every individual BCO for not explaining that in 2015 that the certificates were incorrect.
- Withdrawal of all current certificates, apologising with a full refund of fees and giving compensation
- Admission that they are not acting on behalf of LA’s or BCO’s
- Written apology to Chief execs of every LA explaining how they misled, covered up and falsified information, placed Councils in a very liable situation and became corruptly involved with manufacturers and companies for financial gain. It should recommend that the Chief exec instructs Building Control departments not to get involved or pay subs to LABC
- Sending of all of the £3-4M assets they have (tucked away in the DSA account) to the Grenfell BSR’s.
- Closing of the DSA / LABC business.
